February 12-18 was Random Acts of Kindness Week. The event was practiced by many school across the nation, and HSCHS was no exception. This week was set aside to give people an idea that it doesn’t take much to light up someone’s day. Though these acts don’t require much like anything that is done/taught “It has to be modeled and acknowledged and reinforced” as Dr. Jeb Schenck put it.
The meaning of Kindness is the state of being gentle and considerate so the true meaning of this week could also be to be considerate to others without planning it out. This is the true purpose of the week to show people that a kind act does not need to be elaborate just something simple and small that doesn’t require much thought.
